The Gulf Power Academy

 

Gulf Power Company is a proud partner with West Florida High School of Advanced Technology. Students in the Gulf Power Academy will be exposed to the electric utility industry structure, processes, and terminology. In addition they will gain a solid understanding of industrial electricity. The Gulf Power Academy will provide students an excellent foundation for a variety of careers in the electric utility industry as well as in the construction trades industry.

In order for students to be successful in this program, they must have a good background in math, maintain at least a “C” average in their academic classes, with at least a “C+” average in the Gulf Power Academy, possess good employability skills, have a desire to be a team player, and a zeal to succeed in life.
