2) On the fourth (4th) tardy, the parent will be notified by the dean and informed of consequences for subsequent tardiness to school/classes.

3) Following parent notification, any further tardiness will be written up on a disciplinary referral form for disposition by the dean. Students who drive to school will also be required to follow these guidelines.

4) The attendance staff member will make attempts to call parents of any student who reports to school later than 30 minutes. The Assistant Principal for Facilities will see any student who arrives later than 9:30.

EXCUSES

The following are considered valid excuses for tardiness:
a) Doctor appointment - must have note/appointment from
doctor/verify with a call
b) Death in Family
c) Accident (must have a copy of the accident report)
d) Late bus (verify with transportation/dean)

The following are examples of invalid excuses:
a) Woke up late
b) Power went out (battery alarm clock needed)
c) Traffic Congestion (leave earlier)

PENALTIES FOR REPORTING TO SCHOOL LATE MAY INCLUDE:
Suspension from certain school activities
Suspension from athletic events/participation
Suspension of driving privileges/parking on campus
Other action(s) at the discretion of the deans
